Resubmitting: When Things Go Wrong

How to Start Over

1. Occasionally something goes wrong in the submission process and you must re-qualify individuals in Legacy. Before you start again, it is absolutely essential that you remove the submission information from the marked records. If you do not, the program will skip over them the second time through.

a. If you have not completed the submission process, simply click the Options button and select Quick Qualify Groups of People from the options menu.

b. From the UnSubmit screen choose the type of group you want to remove submissions from.

c. Click the Remove Qualifications button at the bottom of the window.

2. If you completely finished the submission process and created a GEDCOM file on a diskette, then:

1. Click the Temple button on the tool bar and select Search for Submitted Ordinances from the temple menu.

2. Select Show All Non-Date entries in Ordinance Date fields.

3. Select the "Submitted" entry you want to clear by clicking on it in the list.

3. Click Search For and Remove Selected Entry from Ordinance Fields to begin the clearing process. Legacy then clears the contents of all ordinance date fields that match the selected entry.

4. Use Windows Explorer or My Computer to delete the GEDCOM file on the diskette.
