Judith Eccles Wight – Rest In Peace

JudithEcclesWightjpg We are saddened to learn of the passing of a fellow genealogist, webinar presenter, and friend. Judith Eccles Wight passed away yesterday, September 23, 2020.

Judy was the first to teach our webinar audience about researching our ancestors in Ireland and is the author of our Legacy QuickGuide on Irish Genealogy. She was kind, eager to help, and a very good educator.

In her honor, we are unlocking her 8 webinars from the members-only area for the rest of the month.

We will miss Judy. Until we meet again.

Thank you for opening up Judith’s Irish webinars. It’s good to realize that research into my Irish second great-grandmother (an Irish Famine immirant) may not be as hopeless as I always assumed. Thank you, Judith.

    Vale Judy Wight,
She was generous with her help when I led a study group to Salt Lake City in 1990. Her son Tim at the time was serving in Australia and by coincidence I had met him on a railway station.
I will remember Judy with much affection.

Thanks for allowing us to review the webinars. This will give me a jump start on my husband’s family, since I haven’t got much information and both of his parents are passed.

In the early days of Legacy’s webinars, Judith was one of my favorites as I was just beginning my Irish research. Her information was helpful, always. I look forward to reviewing those webinars. Thank you, Legacy. So sorry to lose one our best.
