What Are Legacy Users Groups?

Active GroupsForming a GroupMailing List

Legacy Users Groups can vary from email or telephone contact lists to organizations that meet regularly to conduct workshops, provide informative speakers, discuss problems and share solutions.  Each Legacy Users Group determines its particular structure, goals, and officers.  Although Millennia Corporation does not sponsor or direct Legacy Users Groups, it does help interested persons make contact with groups or others who may want to form a group.  Legacy Users Groups are run by volunteers and have no affiliation to Millennia Corporation.  These groups should not be confused with the LegacyUsersGroup mailing list, which is administered by Millennia Corporation.

Do I need to be an expert in using Legacy Family Tree to be a group leader?

Not at all, but you do need the willingness to contact other Legacy users and help coordinate the organization effort.  Meeting places can be set up in someone's home or a public hall.  Enthusiasm is contagious and will motivate others to lend a hand in the effort.

 Legacy Users Group Demonstrations

There is no way the staff of Millennia Corporation can visit all of the growing number of  users groups.   Because of this, other Legacy users often give demonstrations to their groups instead.  The Legacy video training CDs can shown to a group if you have a laptop computer and a projector.

If you have a newer Legacy Family Tree CD, browse the Present and Review folders for the demonstration outline, a sample review, and screen shots. If you do not have the newest CD, you can download the demo files from our Presentations page.

LegacyUserGroup Mailing List

LegacyUsersGroup is a mailing list for all of  Legacy Family Tree users to share ideas and to help each other.  Once you have subscribed to this mailing list you will be able to send a message to the list by sending an email message to LegacyUserGroup@LegacyUsers.com. The message will be sent to everyone subscribed to the mailing list so please try to be clear with your questions and please, only submit messages relating to Legacy.  The LegacyUsersGroup mailing list, which is administered by Millennia Corporation, should not be confused with locally organized groups. Click Here to sign up for the  Legacy Users Group mailing list.
