About the presenter

Mike Stangel is the General Manager of Geni (a MyHeritage company based in Burbank, California), where he started as a developer in 2006. Mike is responsible for managing the Geni team, overseeing the product roadmap and still enjoys writing code. He holds a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and has previously worked on optimized networking protocols for mobile-enabled applications. Mike currently lives in the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles with his wife, three children and a house full of animals.
