If you are using Legacy 10, Legacy Charting should have full features unlocked and you should not be limited to 4 generations.
Below are the number of generations allowed, based on the style of Chart:
100: Ancestor Standard, Ancestor Over Lap, Ancestor Upward, Ancestor Father’s, Ancestor Mother’s, Hour Glass, Descendant Standard, Descendant Males Only, DNA Charts
16: Ancestor Perfect
15: Bow Tie
12: Fan
Legacy Charting reads the Legacy Family Tree deluxe customer number and removes the 4-generation limit to charts.
If your deluxe features are not unlocked, please open Legacy Family Tree and click on Help on the menu and then select Unlock Legacy Deluxe.* Next fill in your name (any way you wish) and your deluxe customer number; then make sure that I purchased the Deluxe Edition of Legacy is select and click the Continue button.
You will know that you were successful because you will get a “Congratulations” message. You can check the status of your Legacy edition at anytime by clicking on Help and selecting General Information. The screen will show you in large blue letters either Legacy Deluxe Edition or Legacy Standard Edition.
If this does not solve the problem of the 4-generation limit in Charting, try:
Right click Legacy Family Tree icon on the desktop screen
click Run this program as an Administrator
Right click Legacy Charting icon on the desktop screen
Try Charting again
