Text, screen and icon fit in Legacy screens is dependent on Legacy, monitor settings and screen drivers. The first thing to try is resizing the window or grid to see if the text is now legible. If that does not work, do the following -
Make sure that your Video driver is up-to-date. Since hardware manufacturers update their drivers from time to time, the problem is often resolved by visiting the manufacturer's website, then downloading and installing the updated drivers.
Make sure your monitor is set for the recommended resolution. Next:

Right click on the desktop, select PersonalizeIn the lower left
corner of the Personalization window, select Display
In the Display window, make sure one of the font options is set to Small - 100% (default); Medium - 125%: or Larger - 150%. You may need to experiment to see which one is best.
