A Sneak Peak at the Near Future of Genealogy

A Sneak Peak at the Near Future of Genealogy

If you missed the FGS conference in Salt Lake City last week — you missed out! However, thanks to technology, you can still learn about the “future of genealogy” as it was presented at the conference.

Three lectures in particular, presented by Jay L. Verkler and David E. Rencher, provided a vision of what may lie ahead in the genealogy industry:

  • The Impact of Technological and Economical Factors on the Future of Genealogy
  • Societies Going Virtual
  • A Sneak Peak at the Near Future

For those unable to attend the conference, Mr. Verkler and Mr. Rencher agreed to have their presentations posted online. While the audio/transcript is not available, you can get a good idea of their presentations by viewing their slides.
