FamilySearch’s Record Search is the hottest new thing in genealogy. Nearly every week new records are being made available at their pilot site for free searching.  Recently added or updated collections include:

The availability of these records is possible in large part thanks to the efforts of volunteer indexers from around the world participating in the FamilySearchIndexing.com’s project. FamilySearch recently announced that over 140,000 volunteers have signed up to participate. They are indexing records at a rate of nearly 400,000 new names per day.     A note about the Pennsylvania City Death Certificates. There is no indication on the record description that these records are not complete, yet there are additional records available. Don’t use this resource and consider it all encompassing.
