As our company continues to grow (thanks to all of you!), we are able to offer more classes and attend more seminars in more places. In June and July we will participate in events in California, Colorado, Missouri, Oregon, Texas, and Utah. (The last weekend of July will be interesting, but we'll make it happen…).

USA | Colorado | Greeley – June 2. The Centennial Park Library (2227 23rd Ave.) will have a Legacy class entitled "Introduction to basic information and source input". Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops with at least the standard program installed. A limited number of laptop computers with the program installed will be available for use during class. Class will be from 1:30-3:30pm. Questions may be directed to geneclass@comcast.net.

USA | Texas | Dallas – June 15/17/22/24. Legacy Family Tree classes at Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch (Dallas). Taught by Glenn Kinkade, students will learn how to Backup and restore Family Files, perform complex searches on Family Files, use advanced tagging, prepare and print customized reports, use the source clipboard to record source information, organize the source library and correct mistakes in records in a family file. USA | Texas | Dallas – June 29, July 1/6/8. Legacy Family Tree classes at Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch (Dallas). Taught by Glenn Kinkade, the objective of this class is to use genealogy case studies to learn techniques to solve research problems. During each class the students will be given one case study exercise. The case study will include background information on an individual or family and copies or abstracts of additional genealogical records. During class, students will use Heritage Quest, Family Search, and other free internet websites to solve the case study. Students will enter the data and sources in Legacy. After solving the case study, students will document their hypothesis of proof. All of the exercises involve actual problems encountered by genealogists and represent various geographical areas in the United States. This class is scheduled June 29 – July 8, 2010.
