Searchable historic records are made available on FamilySearch.org through the help of thousands of volunteers from around the world. These volunteers transcribe (index) information from digital copies of handwritten records to make them easily searchable online. I have been searching Family Connections for 40 years now and have built up a Database of some 430,000+ Names and I use Legacy Software as my Primary Software for Family History Search and Compilation because I believe it to be the best Software for the Purpose. Itis easy to use and is Intuitive especially the Platinium Version. I would recommend Legacy8 Software to anyone doing or thinking of doing Family History Research.
