Free Access to 33 million+ newspaper records this week

Newspapers for genealogists rock! But that's not news to you. What is news is that between today (July 3) and July 8, 2018, the entire 33,591,658 U.S. newspaper records at MyHeritage are free.

The U.S. Newspaper collection at MyHeritage currently holds newspapers from the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Connecticut, Maine, New York, Kentucky, Indiana, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maryland, West Virginia, New Jersey, and Delaware. In addition to the newspaper collections organized by state, we are also providing free access to Chronicling America: Historic American Newspapers, 1836-1922 collection. This collection encompasses 10,186,650 pages drawn from newspapers throughout the entire United States from 1836-1922.

    I found my grandfather’s name on the honor roll for the Athendale School in Maury County Tennessee. It was in the Columbia Herald from 1912! He would have been 13 years old, now that’s sweet!!
