Tuesday’s Tip – Add Toolbar (Beginner)

TT - Add Toolbar

Tuesday's Tips provide brief how-to's to help you learn to use the Legacy Family Tree software with new tricks and techniques.

Add Toolbar (Beginner)

The Add Toolbar is used when you are going to add new data as opposed to editing existing data.

This toolbar will look different depending on what you have set in Options > Customize > View > 814 Prompt Style (gbl). If you have this set to Traditional, this is what you will see:

If you have the option set to Gender-Neutral this is what you will see:

Notice that Husband and Wife have been replaced with Left Spouse and Right Spouse.

This toolbar is pretty self-explanatory but notice that the options under Add Parent and Add Siblings have drop down arrows for more options.

Husband and Wife will change to Left Spouse and Right Spouse on these drop down menus as well if you are using Gender-Neutral.

Next time we will look at the View Toolbar.
