View Toolbar (Beginner)

The View Toolbar has some very useful links.

Make sure that you notice the down arrows next to the Master Lists, Spouse List, To-Do-List and Go-To which will open up more options. Just click directly on the down arrow to open up the additional menus.

There is one link I want to specifically point out. This is such a fun one but for some reason users seem to overlook it. If you click the Ages icon you will see this:

James and Corrine are my great-grandparents. You can see their exact ages at the time of their vital events and how old they would be today if they were still alive. You can see how long they were married and what ended their marriage. You can even see what day of the week all of these events happened on. I just think these are fun stats.

Next time we will look at the Reports Toolbar.

There is a suggestion in our tracker for the developers to consider adding a more robust spellchecker.

Please add to the spell check memory “words” such as 1st, 2nd, 3rd as commonly used in Barons, Dukes, etc.

When attempting to add a child to an existing family, the necessary window used to open quickly. During the past few months, it takes forever to open and then a long time before the cursor appears to enter a name or an existing number.
This is a big change and is very annoying and time consuming.
    What is the problem?
(Yes, I have the updated version of Legacy 9 Deluxe)

This suggestion is already in our tracking system for the programmers to consider implementing 🙂

Suggestion: When you ask Legacy to find Legacy files – rather than finding them yourself – it does as you ask, BUT! It does not show the dates of the files found. I have several copies of my Legacy files for reasons of my own. If I want to use the latest one, it won’t tell me which one is the latest. So laboriously, when saving, I have to give the file a new name which includes the date each time. It would be so easy to add a column with the date on that screen. Please?! What harm would it do?
