Legacy 10 no longer requires a customer number as it is 100% free. This article is only relevant for users still using Legacy 9 and earlier.
Legacy customer numbers are version specific. For example, a Legacy Family Tree 7.5 or Legacy 8 customer number will not unlock the deluxe features in Legacy Family Tree 9. A customer number will look something like 90-123-456-78 (for version 9); 80-123-456-78 (for version 8), and so forth. The dashes (hyphens) must be included, otherwise the customer number will not work.
Installation passwords, upgrade codes, and certificate or shop order numbers will not work either. Be sure you are using an actual Deluxe Customer Number.
Please email support@legacyfamilytree.com if your customer number does not work. Keep in mind that we only keep records going back 10 years. If you need your customer number and your purchase was over 10 years ago, we would not have it.
